Title:  Intern, Flight Test

Your Mission at Virgin Galactic

This position is expected to begin in May OR June 2023. As a Summer Intern, you must be available full-time for a minimum of 12 weeks. This position is in Las Cruces, NM. The Flight Test team is looking for a student who is curious about space, aviation, and flight testing. Do you want to work on advanced state-of-the-art technology in aviation?

Required Skills and Experience

• Currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree (required) or Master's Degree (desired) in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physical Sciences.
•  Experience with U.S. government-sponsored test programs
• Must have at least one additional quarter/semester of school remaining following the completion of the internship.
• Must be a US citizen, or national, current US permanent resident holder.
• Must possess strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience that demonstrates the development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities.
• Hands-on project experience.
• Passion for space.

The annual U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $41,600.00–$55,640.00. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
